Fabriq® released its newest generation of an Alexa-enabled and multi-room speaker named Chorus on September 18, 2017.
The Chorus is an upgrade of Fabriq®’s previous speaker, the Riff. The most notable difference between the two models lies in Chorus’ voice-activated Alexa service.
Alexa is an Artificia Intelligence (AI) developed by Amazon. This AI is the voice assistant of the Amazon Echo Dot and Amazon Echo devices developed by Amazon Lab126.
Before, users had to touch the Riff speaker to activated the AI assistant. Now, users can control Alexa simply with their voice. Using the wake word ‘Alexa,’ the customer can ask Alexa to a podcast from various services like the Spotify, Pandora, TuneIn, iHeartRadio, and Amazon Music. The user also has the choice to just stream audio straight from the phone or tablet.
Alexa picks the commands with the help of a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity inside the Chorus. Also, Alexa can hear voice requests even when the music is playing.
Now with an 8-watt power, a passive radiator, and two drivers, the Chorus delivers superb sound quality. When paired with the wider FABRIQ® family,
the Chorus becomes an excellent option as a stand-alone speaker.
At launch, 4 different styles of the Chorus will be available so users can find a design that matches their style. Target stores will carry two exclusive designs in-store for guests namely the Duke of Earl and the Static. Two more styles, the Quartz and the Midnight Blue, are available on Amazon.com. Additional seasonal patterns will be available in coming months.
